God at Work in Togo: Generation Now Summer Project 2025

The greatest gift they carried home: The gospel and a New Testament Bible

From August 9–16, 2025, Generation Now had the incredible privilege of hosting our Summer Project in Notsé, Togo, and we are still in awe of all that God did during that week. What began as a simple youth soccer tournament grew into a powerful movement of fellowship, worship, and salvation.

The tournament brought together four teams of players under 15 years old. While the games were filled with energy, skill, and competition, what mattered most was the opportunity to share the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. It wasn’t just about soccer—it was about souls.

Victory beyond the game: God’s word in their hands and hearts

By the grace of God, 11 young players gave their lives to Christ during the tournament! Praise God for the miracle of salvation in each of their lives. But He wasn’t finished—throughout the week, as we engaged the youth with activities, games, and Bible teaching, many more accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

The joy on their faces as they experienced God’s love for the first time was unforgettable. Even more encouraging was seeing the local church step in to embrace these new believers, walking with them in discipleship so they can grow strong in their faith. We know that true transformation happens not just in a single moment, but as these young people are nurtured in their new life with Christ.

This project was also a beautiful time of fellowship—coaches, players, and volunteers building relationships, praying together, and celebrating victories both on and off the field. It was a reminder that when God’s people unite for His mission, incredible things happen.

    •    Pray for the 11 new believers to stay strong in their faith.

    •    Pray for the many more youth who came to Christ during the week.

    •    Pray for the local churches in Notsé as they disciple these young Christians.

    •    Pray for Generation Now as we continue to reach the youth of Togo with the gospel through sports, camps, and mentorship.

What God did in Notsé is just the beginning. We believe He is raising up a new generation of young people in Togo—one that will live boldly for Him.

Generation Now exists for moments like this. To God be the glory!
